This Liangmaqiao-via-Tianjin restaurant offers good-value Chinese food in a pleasant, if slightly offbeat, setting. Come for the massive Tianjin-style jianbing (RMB19) – the soft pancake stuffed full of a crunchy fried wonton pastry – and stay for the fatty pork with squid and pepper (RMB59). With decor resembling a furnace-cum-roastery, it ain’t chic, but hey – that’s not why you’re here.
